Friday, February 4

day four.

TGIF.
Words cannot explain how happy I am that it is Friday. Not only are my meetings at a minimum on Fridays {although group projects for classes are at a high}, it also means that I can just curl up on the couch, catch up on television shows from the past week, read my Real Simple, and go to bed early. Yes this is what the Friday night of a twenty-one-year-old university student looks like. And yes I am a twenty-one-year-old with a Real Simple subscription. Want to make something of it?
I had originally planned on wearing a skirt today. But then I woke up and it was rainy and miserable out. I also remembered I was going bowling with my staff today. So I voted for jeans instead.

Yeah, so... I'm going to go begin my aforementioned evening now. Party on.

Thursday, February 3

day three.

{Button up: H&M, Sweater: TNA via Atritzia, Jeans: Big Blue, Boots: Roberto Vianni}

Awkward:
- Opening your door at the exact same time someone outside is about to knock. It just leaves you with a stumble of "...oh I was just gonna..." "...yeah and I was just..."
- My consistent and excessive yawning yesterday. I couldn't help it. I felt very bad for all the people I was having one on one meetings with. You weren't boring, I swear! My body was just exhausted!
- Zoning out for a few minutes and then coming back to real life and realizing you're making creepy eye contact with the stranger across the room. This happens to me way to often.

Awesome
- 30 for 30. Not having a whole closet to choose from actually makes it much easier to get dressed in the morning. Who would've thought?!
- Getting little notes from the staff I supervise, or other staff members I work with. They just make me oh-so-happy.
- Going out to dinner with my mentor, my work bestie, and her mentor. It was an awesome meal with good food and ever better people!
- Giving thank-you notes.

Wednesday, February 2

day two.

{Cami: Old Navy, Cardigan: H&M, Jeans: American Eagle, Belt: Volcom, Scarf: American Eagle, Boots: Roberto Vianni}

My exhaustion level today has improved, but that won't stop me from being in bed by 10pm tonight. It's going to happen, folks. It just has to. And that's coming from a girl who legitimately cannot remember the last time she fell asleep before midnight. Seriously. I think it must have been sometime in eleventh grade {aka six years ago.}

Anyways! I definitely felt more up for the 30for30 challenge when I woke up today, but still kept it a little tame. What I'm really excited about is the fact that it was Groundhog Day today. And three out of four groundhogs saw their shadow. EARLY SPRING, HERE I COME! It even looked a little bit like a spring day outside too. {My apologies to those of you in the mid- to eastern-side of the North American landmass. I don't mean to brag. Although, your Thunder Ice Storms do sound kinda cool...}

I will be back tomorrow for remix number three and a little awkward and awesome time.

30 for 30 Picks and Day One

{Tommy Hilfiger, H&M, American Eagle, Hollister, Gap, Jacob, Gap}

{Garage, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Gap, Urban Outfitters, H&M, Gap, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger}
{Thrifted, RW&Co., PacSun, Gap}
{TNA via Artizia, TNA via Aritzia}
{Top to Bottom:Citizens of Humanity, Gap, American Eagle, Big Blue.
Clockwise: Roberto Vianni via Joneve, Joy & Peace via Sterling Shoes, Payless, Aldo}
Finally!
I've somehow managed to end the longest day ever by getting this post up. I tell ya, there was a moment when it just didn't happen. Would you believe that I'm somehow jet-lagged from my trip?! Because I almost can't. It was only a three hour time difference for goodness sake! Blagh.
Anyways, as a result, I will make it short and sweet. Above are my picks for the 30 for 30 challenge! Hooray! Below you can find outfit number one. As you'll see, I didn't get too fancy or crazy. Mostly because I was so incredibly exhausted when I got up. But we'll just pretend that it's actually because I'm saving the cray-zay-ness for later on in the challenge. K? K.
{I'll do better tomorrow, I promise.}

Tuesday, February 1

Bear with me...

{mind the ugly blue fencing - they were doing some construction and there was nowhere else for me to stand}
Hey!

So I got in very late last night, and I am still quite exhausted after my awesome and amazing trip! I really, really enjoyed myself and we even had some time to explore downtown Toronto yesterday {see picture above}.

Due to the trip and my late night arrival, I'm a little behind on posting my 30 for 30 peices - but don't worry! They'll be up by the end of the day, including my first outfit.

Hope you all had a swell weekend and a {not manic} Monday!
